UAB “Achempak” develops and produces polypropylene flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC) designed for packing, carriage and storage of a variety of fertilizers, grains, chemicals, briquettes, pellets and other bulk hazardous and non-hazardous products as well as food products.

The Company’s Management, being aware of the importance of ensuring the quality and safety of products and fulfilling its obligation to provide safe and healthy working conditions for the Company’s employees, has established to itself and the entire personnel the following directions and goals:

  • To expand the market and the range of the Company’s production.
    To increase the Company’s competitiveness while reducing production costs and maintaining a high level of quality.
  • To continuously improve the management system and increase the efficiency of processes, applying international management standards, the good manufacturing practice and LEAN methods in the Company’s activities.
  • To provide proper sanitary conditions in the process of production, to identify and assess the risks associated with the production of food products packaging, to constantly monitor the critical control points at all stages of production and ensure the transfer of information.
  • To perform prevention of accidents, incidents and occupational diseases, to continuously assess occupational risks while raising awareness of the personnel, using advanced technology and safe working practices.
  • To systematically improve the qualifications of the employees of all levels and develop their skills while improving the personnel training processes.
  • To ensure the fulfilment of the applicable regulations and other obligations.


In 2008, following the rules of good manufacture practice the Company started to produce big bags designed for contact with food products.

On 09/02/2015, with the use of the Company’s funds and support of the European Union, the activity of UAB “Achempak” was certified in accordance with the following standards: ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System), HACCP (Critical Control Points), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System). These systems have been integrated in the existing quality management system ISO 9001. The area of certification – the design, production and sale of polypropylene soft containers and other polypropylene products.


Flexible intermediate bulk containers produced by UAB “Achempak” are suitable for processing and further use.

By considering the recent eco-friendly trends, UAB “Achempak” developed a technology which will enable to use a homogeneous material – polypropylene to produce flexible intermediate bulk containers with sealed seams.

In 2016, UAB “Achempak” was awarded second place in the “Packaging Manufacturers” group of the “Packaging Sector Leaders 2016” competition for its innovation of packaging recycling.


We pay particular attention to the latest technologies and continuously improve our production processes in order to ensure the company’s competitiveness and meet the needs of the growing market. The company is currently implementing modern quality and production control methods by using the Lean system.

The Lean system can be described by two principles: continuous improvement and elimination of unnecessary actions (losses).

The latter means that processes that do not create value for the company and the customer are eliminated or decreased by forming a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

The aim of the Lean system is to create higher value for the customer and increase the company’s competitive advantage by using less resources.


Our products are made of only high quality materials which is ensured by strict UAB “Achempak” quality control. We carefully select the suppliers of these materials and the materials themselves by purchasing them only from reliable, well-known manufacturers, as well as carrying out audits, laboratory testing of materials and end-product testing.

Our laboratory performs:

  • Polypropylene fabric mechanical property (warp and weft tensile strength, seam tensile and tear properties, resistance to UV rays) tests by using stretching machines and UV equipment.
  • Polypropylene belt mechanical property (stretching, tearing) tests by using stretching machines. During these tests, a material sample of specified dimensions is stretched at an even speed until it breaks.
  • Polypropylene seam tests help determine PP breaking force and elongation during breaking. This test includes measurement of sample load and possible tension.
  • Polyethylene film, polyethylene inner liner strength tests: determination of thickness, tensile strength, relative film elongation during rupture, seam (if any) rupture resistance according to the longitudinal resistance of film and seam tightness.
